Loved Just as We Are. Religion has been used to hold us down and believe that we are unworthy of love. Many of us believe that we were born imperfect and that we had to work to make ourselves “good enough”. If we were born in the image of God, then we are far from imperfect. We are loved just as we are. We are accepted just as we are. We need to change the narrative and celebrate the perfect creations that we are.

From where I sit, I look at myself and others through the eyes of God and know that we are all loved just the way we are.

Written on Our Hearts. There is no distance between us and God. We have been taught that we have to earn our way into God’s kingdom. The only action we need to take is to remove that illusion of a barrier between God and us and accept the unconditional love The Divine has for us for it is written on our hearts.

From where I sit, the love of God within me embraces the love of God within you, and the world is a better place when we all follow suit.

Love Is All That Matters. The secret to having a happy life is looking at everything through the eyes of love. It is difficult to send love to someone who has hurt us. It is difficult to see love in the face of some of the cruelty, divisiveness, and hatred that we witness in the news on a daily basis. Despite these difficulties, in the end, love is the only thing that matters, because that is all that there really is. Love is the essence of the Divine. Love is the essence in each of his children, even those who seem unlovable.

From where I sit, I embrace the love that is in everyone and the love that is everyone.

The Divine within Us. Through the chaos and distractions of the world, a single voice is within us – the Voice of God. Connecting to that Source and listening to that Voice creates healing, creates peace, restores sanity. It is imperative that we spend time with the Divine within us, listening for answers to the questions that we have, healing the wounds we’ve endured, and restoring peace and sanity in a world of chaos and destruction.

From where I sit, I celebrate the Divine within each of us and embrace peace and unity.

Lighthouse. Lighthouses have been protecting sailors from the rocky shores for thousands of years. The light illuminates the dangers lurking in the darkness. Within each of us is a lighthouse. Its light is shining to help us keep ourselves safe and for us to share that light with others to help them stay safe from the dangers lurking in the darkness.

From where I sit, I share the light from my lighthouse and pray that we all are safe.

Watch What You Say. The words that we speak carry a lot of weight. A simple word of kindness might be the difference between someone traveling down the path of self-loathing and their decision to make positive change. A simple word of encouragement contains the energy to help someone lift themselves up. The words we choose to speak to others – and to ourselves – have the potential to create or destroy. The choice is ours.

From where I sit, I carefully choose the words that I speak to myself and to others in order to share the energy of love and peace.

Ripple Effect. Just as throwing a pebble into a calm pool of water puts waves into motion, so do the efforts we make to be the best version of ourselves have on those around us. As we act from the inner guide of the Divine, we are changed. As we are changed, so is the world around us.

From where I sit, I listen to the voice of the Divine, and the ripple effect will change the world.

You Are a Miracle. Of all of the possible combinations of genes, you are uniquely you. There is no other exactly like you. You are a miracle – a beautiful combination of biology and culture. Your only job is to live your live as if you are a miracle, a gift from The Divine.

From where I sit, I see The Divine in you – you are a miracle!

Answers Come in the Silence. Taking the opportunity to sit and listen brings answers to the questions who we are, why we are here, and how we can serve. When we turn off the distractors and we turn on our heart light and listen, answers will come in the silence.

From where I sit, when I turn off distractors and tune in to my heart, the answers come to me every time.

Staying Connected. Many of us have felt abandoned by family, friends, or colleagues at some point in our lives, whether it is due to illness, injury, or some other situation. We have felt disconnected from our support systems, and sometimes, from Source. Fortunately, disconnection is an illusion. Our job is to recognize that our connection to family and friends, to Society as a whole, and most importantly, to Source cannot be broken. We need to take time every day to make a conscious effort to recognize the interconnectedness between every human, every animal, every plant and “stay connected” the energy that has created us all.

From where I sit, I celebrate my connection with the energy of Source.
